Rio Dewanto Banyak Belajar Dari Supir Taksi

Jakarta-C&R/OMG- Pendalaman karakter kerap dilakukan para pemain film sebelum memerankan sebuah tokoh. Seperti Rio Dewanto yang harus memerankan karakter supir taksi dalam film pendek berjudul 'Payung Merah'.

Pada awalnya Rio agak sedikit kesulitan saat hendak memerankan tokoh tersebut. Ia harus mempelajari betul bagaimana prilaku supir taksi yang akan ia perankan. "Observasi jadi supir taksinya saja sih, tapi nggak begitu lama juga kok mencari observasinya," ucap Rio Dewanto kala ditemui di Blitz Pasific Place, Kuningan, Jakarta Selatan, Jum'at (10/06/2011).

Meski filmnya berdurasi 9 menit, Rio Dewanto tetap total menjalaninya. Bukan hanya melakukan observasi, Rio juga dibantu proses reading (pembacaan naskah) untuk mendalami karakternya tersebut.

Alhasil pria kelahiran 28 Agustus 1987 itu dapat sebuah pelajaran yang dapat dipetik dari tokohnya, yaitu bagaimana menyayangi seorang istri dengan setulus hati. "Ada banyak banget salah satunya antara suami dengan supir taksinya itu. Walaupun secapek-capeknya kita, ggak boleh marah-marah sama orang yang kita sayang. Ataupun sama pasangan kita juga," tegas Rio.

Peran Rio berbuah manis karena film 'Payung Merah' memenangkan sebuah penghargaan di ajang Asian Short Film Awards yang diadakan di acara Screen Singapore 2011. (Ichsan)
