Beckham Sumbangkan Hadiah untuk Bayinya

LOS ANGELES - Pesepakbola David Beckham dan istrinya Victoria, menunjukkan sisi sosial dengan menyumbangkan tumpukan hadiah milik bayi mereka untuk amal.

Victoria melahirkan anak keempat berjenis kelamin perempuan, Harper Seven Bechkam, pada 10 Juli 2011. Sejak saat itu, keluarga yang telah memiliki tiga anak laki-laki itu dibanjiri hadiah.

Total hadiah yang diterima anak Beckham melebihi USD9.000, termasuk 14 kereta dorong, pakaian bayi, ayunan, dan meja multifungsi. Demikian dilansir Britain's Mail, Sabtu (30/7/2011).

Pasangan selebriti dunia itu kemudian memutuskan menyumbangkan sebagian hadiah perlengkapan bayi yang mereka punya kepada toko-toko barang bekas di sekitar Los Angeles.

"Kami mencoba mencegah perusahaan-perusahaan (mengirimkan hadiah). Namun, kami menerima banyak barang yang tidak diinginkan, kemudian barang itu kami amalkan," ujar juru bicara.(ang)
